What I find most interesting is that my friend who sent me this video, is in Darfur, where she is doing field work. Not sitting in the comforts of our air-conditioned, high-rises in big cities, all day in front of the computer. The reach of creative, intelligent, funny, and even stupid internet content is amazing. Great post, keep up the good work Maya!

The article focuses on delivery in the native language, which I agree is better for connecting to the target group. However, there are a couple of items missing from your research, and I wonder if you have them?
First, what percentage of the Hispanic population has internet and what percentage regularly uses internet (the two are not the same)
Second, what are the demographics, income, education, etc. for this group.

Lastly, could you provide additional source references for your numbers, and suggestions for further reading and research? The references should list when the data was compiled as well. Personally, I would also like to have access to regional breakdowns of the information.

Perhaps these could be a follow up item, since I realize that it's quite a bit to present on a single article.

Christine,

I arrived here, because the developer of the FullCalendar JQuery plugin asked me to read this.

I find the article interesting. You're making a point and try to back it up with numbers -- a good idea. However, I have no way of verifying the numbers. Where do they come from? Did you make them up? The lack of providing your sources reduces the credibility. I feel like I didn't spend as quality time as I could have. But at least I hope you'll win the bet! :-)
